Roger the Mini Dragon

Imagine waking from a deep sleep into a strange new world. What would you do first? How would you feel?

These are things faced by a young dragon named Roger in author Trish’s book Roger The Mini-Dragon And The Magic Meadow. One afternoon in Calgary, Alberta, a long-hidden dragon egg hatched on a cliff overlooking one of the city’s main rivers. Alone in a new world, Roger is discovered by a group of feathery and furry critters who quickly make friends with the little dragon. Follow along as Roger and his new friends discover many things, including pizza and a beautiful meadow.

This children’s story Roger the Dragon has—with flair and resilience—sprung from a prehistoric age into the modern world, where he finds many adventures.

Any children’s library would be incomplete without this book. It is one of those stories which touches your heart and may even bring a tear to your eye. Personally, I fell in love with the book as soon as I began reading it. It’s a joy to read and share with your children, and open their imaginations to a wondrous world. I can see this becoming a great classic alongside Puff the Magic Dragon or Pete’s Dragon.
